Chaz Beasley Endorsed by Charlotte Observer

The Charlotte Observer has endorsed Democratic candidate Chaz Beasley for NC House District 92.

The Observer noted that “Beasley brings a sophisticated understanding of economic matters, thanks to his legal training and his work analyzing multimillion-dollar structured finance contracts. His low-income upbringing in Catawba County gives him first-hand understanding of how critical a strong public education system can be to improving lives.”

“I’m grateful to the Charlotte Observer for their vote of confidence,” said Beasley. “It’s one of the most significant endorsements in our area, and it reflects the hard work we’re doing in this campaign. I’m glad they are confident that I will be an effective voice for this community in Raleigh.”

Chaz Beasley is the Democratic candidate for NC House District 92, located in Mecklenburg County. It includes parts of Huntersville, Charlotte, Pineville and Steele Creek, as well as Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.

Born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Beasley grew up in a low-income, single parent home. He attended North Carolina’s public schools and graduated with honors from Harvard. Beasley then went on to earn his law degree at Georgetown.

Currently, Beasley works as an attorney in the finance industry. He lives in Steele Creek with his fiancée Whitney, and his future stepdaughter, Maddison.
