Rep. Chaz Beasley Announces Run for Re-Election
Rep. Chaz Beasley announced today that he is running for re-election to the N.C. House of Representatives in 2018.
Rep. Beasley is currently in his first term as Representative for N.C. House District 92, located in Mecklenburg County. As a result of recent court litigation, District 92 has changed significantly and now covers Steele Creek, Pineville, and much of South Charlotte. Rep. Beasley will run in District 92 as newly constituted.
“It has truly been an honor to represent the people of District 92, and I’m proud of the work we have done for our state,” Rep. Beasley stated. “I am excited to continue fighting for every member of this community as we work to strengthen our local economy, invest in education, and promote equality.”
Born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Rep. Beasley grew up in a low-income, single parent home. He attended North Carolina public schools and graduated with honors from Harvard University. Rep. Beasley then went on to earn his law degree at Georgetown.
Rep. Beasley currently resides in Steele Creek and works as a finance attorney in Charlotte.
